Physical Therapy Now Considered Primary Care

July 1, 2015

Due to a recent bill passed by the Iowa Senate and signed into law, Physical Therapy is now considered Primary Care instead of Specialty Care. What this means for you is that your insurance will process a trip to Integrated Physical Therapy the same as a regular doctor visit.

What Is Physical Therapy?

Physical Therapy is a rehabilitation and prevention process that can help in a wide variety of areas. Physical Therapy promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, and physical intervention.

Not only is it helpful after surgeries or injuries but can also be utilized for balance, incontinence, and other less obvious issues.

Questioning if Physical Therapy is right for you?

Integrated Physical Therapy offers FREE injury screening to determine if physical therapy is the right option for your particular needs. Sometimes physical therapy can help with issues in areas you would not normally expect.
