OUR STORY
Integrated Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine was founded in 2012 with a goal of providing the best physical therapy in the Des Moines Metro area. The name "Integrated" came from current owner, Tate Van Houten, who had a goal of combining a wide variety of treatments, modalities, and approaches to help many physical ailments and dysfunction. Our providers are well versed in multiple treatment techniques including Graston, dry needling, kinesiotape, cupping, and more.

We offer full service outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine services at two convenient locations. As the only Postural Restoration certified clinic in the metro, both clinics offer and emphasize evaluation and treatment of postural patterns and dysfunction. We firmly believe in treating the WHY in addition to the WHAT.
What is Physical Therapy?
Physical Therapy is a rehabilitation and prevention process that can help in a wide variety of areas. Physical Therapy promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, and physical intervention.
Not only is it helpful after surgeries or injuries but can also be utilized for balance, incontinence, and other less obvious issues.

INSURANCE
We accept most all major insurance plans.
Physical Therapy is now considered Primary Care instead of Specialty Care., which means your insurance processes a trip to integrated the same as a regular doctor visit. Physical therapy is also "direct access" for most insurance plans, meaning you do not need a doctor's referral or prescription to attend physical therapy!
